This row of coats represents a quaint group of diners who piled inside during a blustery Northern Michigan winter evening to sit at natural wood tables and dine on the most amazing family-style shared plates. Last week my in-laws checked out this restaurant owned by one of my MIL’s former 1st grade students and immediately booked a reservation for us to eat there when we would be in Traverse City the following week. Unbelievable food. Amazing service. Delicious drinks. And ambiance. And hygge. And basically one of the most creative, deliciously indulgent meals I’ve ever had. The menu changes from day to day and season to season, but if you happen to eat at Alliance Restaurant soon – try the coconut sea bass ceviche, the sweet chili fried chicken, the baked squash, the wagyu beef and the buttermilk pie – for starters. 😉
And if you happen to talk to Chef James – tell him The Brandts sent you. And then prepare to have your mind completely blown.
